Wellness Wednesday: Daily Mantra

Here at Arner Adventures, mental wellness plays an important role, in not only this space, but in our daily lives. ABOUT THE ARNERS

Arner Family

Hi, we are Shannon and Gerry Arner, and our rescue, fur baby, Betty White. After owning our own business, working 24/7, we made a lifestyle change and decided to make the most out of life. We sold our house, downsized, and moved to the coast. We are wanderlusters; we live life minimally, but fully. We live each day as an adventure, and enjoy sharing them with you!

Rituals have been comforting for me. One can blame that on the fact that I have a sense of control over the repeating of a practice, routine, or the predictability of a timeframe. AD Lately, I have felt some resentment towards people in my life and I didn’t know why. My psychic advisor with @californiapsychics helped me uncover that my issue was more about boundaries. I have been allowing people to interfere with the rituals I have in my life, not holding firm to the boundaries that I need to have in place to keep those rituals intact.

My ritual, though not necessarily religious in nature, is spiritual, and can be very nurturing for my mental and physical health. An important ritual for me is my morning ritual of walking by the ocean and stopping to watch the sunrise with Betty White. I find that this special time between us not only calms my mind, but it fosters the bond that we have together. I also use this time to meditate and focus on my breathing.

My psychic advisor and I talked about holding firm to the boundaries of not allowing anything to interfere with that ritual. I devote that time to my ritual because it is important and brings me joy. I don’t answer my phone, nor look at it until that part of my day is complete. In turn, I don’t hold resentment toward anyone because I have set the boundary of not allowing anyone to interrupt it.

Whether you are working toward personal or professional goals and would like guidance on your journey, a trained psychic advisor with California Psychics can help you discover the right path. You can schedule a reading via their app or their website at a time that is convenient for you. Get a $10 credit added to your first purchase with code: arner10

Patiently waiting on that hot girl summer.
☀
Today is #nationalrescuedogday and we'd be remiss not to state the obvious. We cannot imagine our lives without #BettyWhite in it, nor any of the rescue pets we've been fortunate to have parented together, who have now crossed the rainbow bridge: Kiko, Pharrell, and Wilson.
🐾
Approximately 3.3 million dogs enter shelters every year.
🐾
When these abandoned and often abused babies find their way to a shelter, each one needs a forever home.
🐾
They sit and wait to either be adopted or rescued. In underfunded shelters they are often euthanized. It's not always sunshine and rainbows for shelter dogs.
🐾
When you shop for a pet, rather than adopt, you are ignoring the problem. Period.
🐾
Please, if you are looking to bring a pet into your home, #adoptdontshop It will be the most rewarding experience for you and that pet. We promise.

"Earth laughs in flowers." -Ralph Waldo Emerson
🌼
Stopped to take in these beautiful flowers while on a bike ride. They pop up every year by the seaside.
🌼
It is said that things are really strong when they grow by the sea, though it's also said that the ocean and the ocean breeze are healing.
🌼
Perhaps both are true.
