When it comes to experience gifts for kids, we went to the experts!
We love to give experience gifts or consumables instead of things that may end up in landfills. Did you know that 80% of toys end up in landfills or the ocean? Not only is that just wasteful, but the plastics that most toys are made of are harmful to the environment and marine life.
The best gifts are not stuff anywayโtheyโre the ones that create memories. We teamed up with our awesome nieces, Marleigh (13) and Hendrix (8), to brainstorm the ultimate list of experience gifts for kids, by kids.

These lists are straight from the experts themselves! Whether itโs an adventure or something unexpected, these are the gift ideas theyโd love to unwrap.
So, if youโre tired of giving toys that get forgotten, check out what real kids recommend!
Experience Gifts for Kids
Both girls made their own list. These are their words for the best experience gift ideas.
Marleigh- 13-year-old Experience Gift Guide

1. Beach Day
The beach is always my go-to escape. I love the sound of the waves and feeling the sand between my toes while I collect shells or read a good book. I can speak for EVERYONE my age when I say a beach trip WITH FRIENDS is the best thing I could ever ask for. Thatโs why itโs number 1!

FAQs | Frequently Asked Questions
You can, but why not go along with the kid on the experience? Those memories are special, rather than simply giving a gift card.
Absolutely! Experience gifts can be tailored to kids and adults of all ages. A visit to a trampoline park, rock climbing, and even horseback riding can be fun for all ages!
Get creative with how you present it! You can give them a fun โticketโ or voucher for the experience, or maybe wrap up something small that hints at the adventureโlike giving a map for a scavenger hunt or a chefโs hat for a cooking class.
