Our Detailed Beis Luggage Review
From enjoying laid-back days on sandy beaches to watching the sunsets in far-off places, we’ve always been avid travelers. While our destinations and aims from our travels have varied, one thing has remained constant throughout our Beis Travel luggage. It’s truly our travel bestie, accompanying me on all our trips. I mean, there have been solo trips when I (shannon) left Gerry at home, but our Beis carry-on roller has always been with me!
If you’re looking for some of the top products from Beis that we personally use and 100% recommend, keep reading! Why Beis?
In a nutshell, Beis is a company offering highly functional luggage at a great price point. It’s almost as if the brand has thought of everything considering function and fashion, creating stylish yet affordable pieces.
You can easily make a design statement at the airport with the Beis luggage items while keeping your travel experiences hassle-free and organized! Additionally, packing smarter with Beis means you don’t have to waste time (and money) in checking and picking up luggage, allowing more time for experiences and adventures.
Some history of Beis
For a little history — Beis was launched recently, in 2018. The founder of Beis is Shay Mitchell, a Canadian actress you may remember from Pretty Little Liars. If you don’t, well you better head over to Netflix for a binge-fest!
As a world traveler, she brings her expertise to design unique products and aims to provide customers with stylish luggage that doesn’t break the bank. For us, Beis is our match made in heaven!
“As I got older, I found more and more that there were no options of chic looking, highly functional AND affordable items in the travel category. This was the white space opportunity that I wanted to carve out with BÉIS.”
Shay Mitchell, Founder of Beis
Most of the ads of Beis, especially on their Instagram, feature Shay Mitchell breaking down the functionality of the pieces. This means they take you straight to the point, clearly illustrating what you’re purchasing (and how you will get a bang for your buck). We have loved viewing the Beis luggage review demos in the Beis ‘gram feed.
If you’re looking for style, functionality, and durability at a reasonable price, Beis will serve you well. And I can say that with personal experience 🙂 There is something about taking in the view from an iconic spot in New York City, with my Beis in tow. We have leaned on a ton of various travel bags over the years. Beis just gets it.
The Iconic Beis Carry-On Roller — So Worth The Investment
If you ask us for one product we simply can’t do our travels without, it would be the Beis carry-on roller. If you are reading this Beis luggage review, and are a minimalist, or someone who values their time and money, this product is for you!
Gerry and I are BIG fans of it, and simply cannot recommend it enough! In fact, we have referred it to a number of people, and whoever buys it, falls in love. Absolute truth, most people who have traveled with us end up buying this rollaboard because of its functionality, and time-saving.
The carry-on traveler is one of the four luggage options offered by the brand. It comes in six color variations — I have beige and Gerry has black. The other four are grey, navy, maple, and atlas-pink. Random fact: I’m eyeing the atlas-pink next! Ahhh! It’s gorgeous!
This product will be your basic roller bag with wheels that effortlessly rotate 360°, making it a breeze to move it around. This is especially enhanced by its cushioned handle; we’ve overstuffed its expandable body with items but still never hurt our hands.
Let’s hit the highlights of the Beis Carry-on Roller
Its exterior measures 15.7″ x 22.8″ x 9.8″ (40 x 58 x 25 cm) — perfect for holding all your essentials while easily fitting into overhead compartments. The best part is the weight indicator on the side carry handle of the carry-on bag. To use it, you simply hold the handle. If it turns red, it indicates the weight of the bag has exceeded 50 pounds. You have then exceeded your weight limit for most airlines and may have a fee. If this happens, you definitely need our travel prep list!
For convenient packing, the carry-on bag provides a few pockets allowing for easy organization. There is also a separate compartment for dirty clothes and shoes, and a carrying loop for hanging bags. two bags inside: Not Beis-ic, and a Dirt Bag. We love those names! You can use these for your dirty laundry bag, or anything you want to keep separate.
It also has a butterfly opening, vegan leather trim, waterproof zippers, and TSA locks. Oh, and we forgot the section that is made to hold damp items, in case your swimsuit didn’t quite dry before packing.
Still in doubt about what this baby can do? Check out how much could fit inside on our Alaskan cruise trip!
Size matters
Of course, we also love the compression straps that make it easier to fit in as much as possible. Since you cannot have the extender open to make the bag larger when carrying it on, we love the option to extend it when we get to our destination early. We use the large check at a hotel, extend it to put other items in, to be hands-free while strolling around a new city- at least until check-in time.
Other Beis products we use (and love!)
The carry-on bag is an impeccable pick, but beyond that, we’ve used plenty of other products from the brand. Let’s delve into their details as a part of our Beis luggage review.
The Sport Pack
The Beis Sport Pack can easily hold all of your backpacking essentials. I use it to store our keys, sunscreen, and phone (sometimes on-the-go snacks, too). It has a D-ring to hook your water bottle, and with its nylon body, it’s super easy to wipe clean. If you’re an avid hiker, you’ll instantly fall in love with this!
Note- we haven’t seen Beis recommend this, but after trips, we throw ours in the washing machine on delicate and hang dry. No probs!
The Dopp Kit
There are lots to take care of during travels, but spilling bottles in luggage shouldn’t be one of them. And with the spill-proof Beis Dopp Kit, I achieved just that. Fill it with your skincare products and everyday essentials — and you’ll wake up to your regular morning care routine no matter where you are. Bonus: It has a loop to make it easy to hang.
The Seatback Organizer
Do you hate having your goods near the germ-infested pockets of a seatback area? Our airplane ride has been hassle-free ever since we got the Seatback Organizer.
Placing it in the seat back pocket helps us to stay organized, with its separate compartments providing enough room for our phone, earbuds, and even sunglasses. The best part? We store our documents (passport and vaccination card) in its zipped pocket, too — and the lock (hidden magnets) keeps them safe.
The Towel Tote
Our travels to the beach always include the incredibly versatile Towel Tote. We fill it with our beach essentials (sunscreen and snacks, for sure). When we come out of the waters, we just unfold it to form a towel, followed by laying back on the pillow it comes with to enjoy the sandy shore.
Every beach trip results in tons of questions about this nifty tote! It’s so handy and just innovative!
The Passport and Luggage Tag Set
The Passport and Luggage Tag Set — a luxury or an essential? I’d say both! The stylish passport holder doubles as a mini wallet, and the clear pouch is our go-to for storing last-minute essentials we missed in packing. A special mention for the luggage tag that helps us identify our bags in a glance, the fashionable way. As if the Beis nags themselves don’t help us!
The Tote Insert
While the Tote Insert is primarily a handy diaper bag, it fares well for solo travelers, too! I mean, we don’t have a baby, but we absolutely love this product for the degree of organization it provides. Compartments for keys, water bottles, a laptop, snacks — you name it, the Tote Insert has it! I primarily use it to keep large purses organized during travels, like Big Louis (ahem, the Louis Vuitton Neverfull GM).
It is also large enough for our padded laptop sleeve with the laptop (of course). We’ve also seen it used inside of a work tote. It’s the perfect organizer for any large bag. Who wants to take everything out while switching up bags, anyway?
Other Beis items to note in our Beis luggage review
We do not have the Beis convertible weekender bag since we do not have the need, but if we did not have the large totes we already have, or if they end up wearing out, we would go to the Weekender Bag. It also comes in a smaller size, the mini weekender. We have been eyeing these for a while, but honestly, with what we have, we just don’t need them.
We wanted to make note of the weekender line in our Beis luggage review because we can see how they would be super useful and convenient.
I (shannon) have the mesh pouch trio that comes in handy in my Dopp kit. They help me to separate my skincare, eye makeup, facial powder, etc.

Beis offers a Limited Lifetime Luggage Warranty, covering cracks in suitcase shells, broken zippers, ripped fabric, and more. Note- we used this on a lock that did not work when we received it.
